AMSOIL Synthetic Transmission Fluid

I have a 2005 e320 CDI that needs the transmission fluid changed.
I want to use AMSOIL synthetic transmission fluid instead of the MB fluid because I have been really happy with their synthetic engine oil (better milage than Mobil1).
Before making a final decision, I would like to know the Mercedes specifications for ATF for the transmission in this car. From the AMSOIL site, their synthetic transmission meets MB 236.999.
Also, how much oil do I need for a complete flush?

Thanks

A complete flush would require 14-16 quarts.

i wouldn't mess around with different types of fluids. if its mercedes, you know it works. if you use soemthing else, and your tranny dies, it won't be good.

Dogshine -- I agree with you -- I would use only MB spec'd ATF. The motor oil is a different story.
