Exclamation 2006 ML350 Remote Start

Hi,

I'm new here, but did quite a bit of searching before posting this.

Does anyone have any recommendations as to a remote start for these vehicles? Dealers and accessory installation companies either do not know of an available unit, or are uncomfortable installing a generic one.

Suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Don

Don't do it. As far as I know no one has been successful and those who have tried created many electronic problems for themselves that dealers would not tackle or even consider for warranty. Some shops claim that they have a solution but none have had any success.

Thanks Sosh,

Its hard to belive that DCX has remote starts for the Chrysler / Dodge vehicles of current vintage with the same type of keys and network bus' but they haven't seized the opportunity to produce a version for these cars...

Guess they think we all park in garages at work!

Anyone else have any leads?

Thanks,

Don

The MB's are quite a bit different and more complex. There are also lots fewer MB's than the other brands so they went with the masses which makes sense from a business standpoint.

adding remote start to any late model MB is nearly impossible without comprimising the security of the vehicle. The only they offer is a remote stationary heating system. You can get some more info on that system here:
