E320 CDI question, hopefully someone knows?

I've posted this question on other forums, but then I noticed this one, and maybe somebody can help.

I'm trying to find out how much boost pressure was generated by the turbocharger in the '05-'06 320 CDI engine (the OM 648). I managed to find this data for the new OM 642 CDI/Bluetec engine, but not for the older version. I asked MBUSA, who told me to check with a dealer service department. I asked the better part of a dozen, most of whom had no idea. One said 36.3 psi, one said about 8.0 psi. I also asked several tuners, who of course didn't bother to reply. Anybody happen to know?

boost pressure

I dont know the exact psi for the turbo, i do know that the CDI's use a variable vane turbo, they do not use a wastgate the just open the vanes on the turbo. So maybe it uses 38 psi and 8 depending on engine load.

CDI boost pressures

The engine control unit can read up to 2.5 Bar (about 36psi) of pressure without thinking something is wrong, but this engine runs at much lower boost pressures most of the time.

So it'd be fair to say that peak pressure is about 2.5 bar, then? Wow. Impressive what they can these days, eh? I think the new Bluetec engine runs about 24 psi or so; still pretty high.
