Outside Temp Gauge (1996 C220)

Hey,

The outside temperature gauge on my 1996 C220 displays the wrong temperature (in driving in warm weather, it reads 100+). I assume there's something wrong with the sensor. Is this something I can fix or should I leave that to the dealer? It's a minor problem, but I would like it fixed. Thanks!

I have the same issue on my 1995 C220. Outside temperature gauge on dash reads 89+ F in winter! It's been like this for years so I hope this sensor is not tied in with the engine computer algorithms...my mileage seems okay. Still I would like to fix it myself if possible. Can anyone help us?
