Testing The Techs' Skills Right Here! HELP

Alright guys, here is the problem. I have a 98 C230 on staggered 19s and a 2.5"+ drop, but that's not the issue. I have recently added some sound inside the trunk, and since then, sometime I head a thumping noise that gets distinctly repetitious the faster as I am going.

Here are the catches: it is not rubbing on anything inside the wheel well. If I am driving, and I slightly engage the parking brake, it goes away, temporarily. It eventually comes back at which point I must do this again. Here is another strange catch: After I lower the car after being jacked up, the car does not make the sound. I wonder if perhaps this could also be a driveline issue?

Here is a pic of my car before the sub. My car now is around 1/8" from tucking rim in the rear. If it helps at all, the rear is a 19 * 9.5 ET38 with a 255/30 19 with Dunlop SP Sport MAXXs. Thanks!
