1978 350SL 4 speed, 1980 450SL, 1995 S500
Will a 6.9 fit in a 450SL?
My 1980 450SL motor has oil consumption problems, which can be expensive to repair. Does anyone have any experience or information about how a 6.9 would fit in the car? I have access to a 1980 6.9 SEL motor for about $1000. Any input would be great!

Would likely cost you more than fixing the 450..first on the install, later on the other repairs..could it be done..yes...should it be done because its cheaper...no way...
