Question 1986 560 SEL engine misses when warm

Greetings all!

I just got a 1986 560 SEL with about 100,000 miles on it. I got it in North Carolina and drove it cross country to Denver (elevation 5280 ft). The previous owner denies he ever had this problem but the engine misses and stumbles when it is warm. I can only tell it's doing this at idle at stop signs but I live in the heart of the city and 4-way stop signs are everywhere.

Does the engine need some sort of adjustment for the higher elevation? Does it need something more serious?

I have tried fuel injector cleaner in a can that you put in the gas tank but it hasn't helped.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Kevin

Perhaps a good tune up would help, plugs, wires maybe other ignotion parts, all filters, etc.

Yes it would need to be adjusted to the elevation..air is thinner up there!! Also, hot idle shakes are indicators on this sytem of too much fuel usually (adjustment) or a dripping injector, a leaking fuel distributor, etc.

Isn't there a barometric sensor that adjusts mixture for altitude on these cars??
