How many test miles does amg put on a new slk55 before it goes to the dealer?

Varies with all cars. Some receive longer test drives. I have taken delivery of numerous MB's. The mileage ranges from 3 to 60 miles. All were special order cars and I saw them right off the truck so I know it was not dealer miles. I would assume that AMG's received more of a road test than others or at least all of them would have more miles. Also if there was a problem that needed to be corrected it would go out for a second or third test.

AMG and regular Mercedes engines are spun up via electric motor for testing immediately after completion on their respective assembly lines. Keeps those exhaust headers pristine, you know.

Actually...having been in the plant..the AMG cars are all driven, on the road, at the end of the line, usually 20 miles or so..sometimes more..
