1998 R129 passenger side cover removal

I'm trying to remove the carpeted cover below the airbag on the passenger side. The service DVD shows only 2 screws to remove. After removing these, it's still held in tight. Does it pull down or out? Any help is appreciated.

10 mmm bolt that is accessed by a long extension up through the bottom of the knee bolster..look for a hole down there...it is a big long bolt that goes up through the back of the bag holder, then it basically falls out..

Opps..thought you were talking about the airbag..need to learn to read better, obviously....
anyway, the area you are talking about (i think) is part of the dash..can you take a picture of the area you mean?

Yes, I trying to remove the carpeted knee bolister below the airbag. Looking at the service DVD indicates there was a change in the airbag around 9/95 such that the hole in the cover to access the single 10mm bolt no longer applies as the newer version of the air bag is removed differently. (you have to remove multiple components prior to the airbag removal) Are there additional screws besides the 2 obvious ones? Thanks!

OK, what I thought the second time, when my brain came on..i have never taken that cover off, in my memory, without taking the whole dash out..(not for that- it comes with the dash)I will look it up for you tomorrow, and see if it can be done in car..
