diesel injection pump timing

ok here is the deal 1996 E300d I Shot my diesel injection pump on veggie oil.
I had it rebuilt 1500.00 replacing it and now it wont start. I think the pump to engine timingis off ai bit . It will run with i lil starting help but wont idle . the pump came back . with a mark on it i assummed it was a tdc. its seemed to be injecting fuel at the start of intake valve opening but maybe this is too soon . any help plz .

well check it out

wikipediea said in the "diesel cycle" section fuel is injected on the compression stroke at almost tdc . ok im off back to the garage
