My SmartKey will not function for locking, unlocking or opening trunk. The battery indicator light does come on briefing when depressing the locking pad. The key will start the vehicle but not function in any other capacity. Owners manual says if the battery indicator light comes on briefly the battery is good.
Any ideas?

What does the other key do? The battery led is not fail safe, and starting has nothing to do with unlocking..
