2007 GL450 Radio Head Unit and Hooking up an aux HD Radio componant
I'm looking for some technical assistance in understanding what connectivity options there are for the 2007 unit in the GL450s. In this instance w/ the P1 package which has DVD nav, cd changer, but no video or iPod options.
There is an aftermarket HD unit, manufacutred by http://www.diceelectronics.com/. It is supposed to be able to do the following:
Digital AM/FM HD Radio receiver
HD multicast compatible
Hard-wired interface for the best possible audio quality
The interface connects to vehicles external device (SAT/CDC) connection port
High definition glass mount AM/FM antenna
iPod connection port, optional cable required
Auxiliary input for additional audio playback devices
Fully integrated controls from radio and steering wheel
Intuitive operation with text display on the OEM radio system
Preserves OEM look without having to add external display or controller
I'm trying to get them as much technical information about the 2007 unit in the 2007 GL450 so they can figure out how to make this an offering for MBZ. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I've not had any response on the audio board here or on the other board. -cjd

easy...it says 'hard wired'...so it is a stand alone unit...MB audio/video are fiber optics..A MOST ring, which lots of manufacturers use now.. that would be the first step
