Trunk Cigarette Lighter auto switch off ?

Trunk Cigarette Lighter auto switch off ?
Hello, I have a ML 320 CDI and I wonder I the cigarette lighter in the trunk can auto switch off when voltage is too low in order to preserve the battery for ignition.

I would like to connect a Digital Video Recorder in my car but I don't know if it will empty the battery or not. All will consume about 6A per hour.

If it auto switch off, what is the switch off voltage ?

Do you know the capacity of this ML battery ?

The capacity of the battery is listed in your owners manual.

It's surely also printed on the label on the battery itself.

Thank you, it is not very easy to go under the seat to find the battery sticker on this ML.

What about the auto switch off on the trunk cigarette lighter ?

I have similar problem and am told the ONLY solution is to rewire the socket. I don't believe it and am still looking for an adapter to use to turn off power when engine is not running.
