C32 Oil leak--Front main??

C32 Oil leak--Front main??
I have some oil coming from either the front main or the oil pan. Any one have any experience with a leak in either place? I can not wait to go to the dealer for this one. Maybe I can avoid it. The car has is a 2003 and has 54,000 miles. Will any dealers stretch the warranty?

BMW E30. I've turned to the dark side.
the most common engine oil leak at the front of the engine is the little oil galley plate about 8" below your oil filter and just above the belt tensioner. there is an updated plate and seal availible. HTH

I have checked below the filter and see no oil between this and the top of the lower pulley. I am assuming it is the main seal. How hard to replace?
