My A/C keeps switching

Vehicle Make - Mercedes Benz
Vehicle Model- C32 AMG
Vehicle Year- 2002
Approximate mileage- 45000.
No modifications.

Problem:
Now my problem started not too long ago, when I press the Auto button on the Climate Control the A/C kicks in but it feels as if its in an endless loop and doesn't know where to blow. It switches from my feet to the dash and back and forth continuously. I then make an attempt to manually direct it to the dash and nothing changes. I try adjusting the temperature and speed so it doesn't blow so hard and I keep getting the same problem. I can't get it to blow through the appropriate vents when I want to.

I would like any advice before taking it in for warranty repair.

Thanks for all your help.

Take it in, you most likely have a bad controller

more than likely one of the stepper motors failed or one of the linkages broke. I would definitely run the fault codes first though that way you aren't chasing the problem.

You can try to renormalize the stepper motors and see if that helps.

At the same time, depress the windshield defrost and Recirc buttons and hold them down until they start blinking back and forth between them.

When that finishes, the system should be renormalized..

Did it and its apparently on an endless loop. I waited about 5-10 minutes and I had to turn the key to turn it off. Looks like in it goes for warranty checkup.
