This might only happen on 2002 clk models. If your alignment is OFF due to the car is lowered with aftermarket spring. The whole ESP/BAS/ABS system going into a malfuction mode !!! That is what happen to my friend car. Mercedes tech. spend about one and a half hours try to look for damaged/loose parts and sensors but couldn't find NONE!!! He even try to reprogram the system with the steering by turning it from side to side and the system check light would go away but everytime you make a turn at the corner the check light would come back on again. When he download the error code, it said that steering wheel centering is not recognized. To make the story short, the alignment were the only thing that solved the problem. That's wierd !!! So, for those who's might want to lower your 2002 clk model, this might happen to you too. Just don't get PANIC, go get an alignment.
