Dealer service dept. in SF Bay Area?
Any recommendations on a dealership for service would be appreciated. Either San Francisco MB or Stead in Walnut Creek would be convinient for me. Car is an '08 E350. (I am thinking ahead about the first service at 1,000- 2,000 miles). I would like to continue future service at whatever dealership I start with.

Honestly, wait AT LEAST 5000mi before the first service. The engine oil the car was delivered with is a type of running in oil from mobil (still mobil 1). If you change it too early then the piston rings take longer to bed in and you will burn more oil in the long run.
You will most likely have to top up the oil before the first scheduled service (only when the light comes on, don't keep checking it with the dipstick).

I've had good luck with Smythe, but San Jose is a little far for you.
