I think I have a brake problem

It's my wife's car so I'm not as familiar as I would like. ML500 2002 about 59k miles

Brake and Battery sensors flash in unison when braking (most of the time). Also does it when shifting out of park and into reverse or drive.

Sometimes when braking the panel will beep at you.

It started Tuesday, and I'm going ahead and ordering new rotors and pads.
Any guidance?

I'm taking it to a reputable mechanic shop that does all makes.

I know this shop usually gets all their parts from the NAPA shop around the corner.

Thanks for your advice. Any advice...

I've never heard of those symptoms....but if you're replacing rotors and pads to make the blinking/beeping stop I think you'll be disappointed. Does the "Brake Wear, Visit Dealer" (or whatever it says on your model) ever illuminate?

This car isn't displaying any messages. I don't think it does.
It just has the row of various sensor lights across the bottm of the cluster panel. I just dropped it off with the mechanic today and I'll just have to see what they come up with. I failed to note in the original post that the brake pedal does feel like you have to push farther than normal to make it stop. Also the fluid levels are just fine under the hood.

Sounds like the brake fluid is low. When this happen's it will kick on the E-brake warning light and brake pads wear indicator light.

Brake fluid levels were good.
Turns out new rotors and pads were needed.
Plus a new battery.
Thanks for your advice
