Question E320 Bose Stereo Loudness

I noted with my 2002 E320 with Bose system that the stereo will get louder or softer on its own. Seems to get louder when engine RPM is higher (when driving) and softer when idling. Anyone else experienced this problem or is it a feature?????

It happens with both CD player and FM stations.

Its an annoying feature if ya will.......I cant stand it. The system compensates for road noise via speed of the car. I wish I could disable mine!!!

It can be disabled by changing the settings in the head unit (Comand/Audio10/30/50/...) with the Star Diagnosis computer.
