2001 E320- Starting Problem HELP?!?!?

I am havin trouble with starting my vehicle, sometimes when i turn the key to start it, The enigine attempts to turn-over, BUT does not fire up.

Also when it does this if i do not turn back the key(to the off position) it will hold the start.
( if that makes sense)

I recently changed the CPS sensor and hooked it up to a computer and nothing showed up except for the same CPS reading?!?!

Changed my battery, filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs within the last 2 months.

PLZ guys any help is needed. Benn to a few mechanics and none of them can solve this problem. Trying to avoid paying lots of money at the dealership THX

Beleive you can alleviate this problem by taking a small amount of neverseize compound and coating the starter drive gear or even easier from under car is coat a small section of the starter ring gear
