C230 coupe 2003, 2014 GLK350, 2020 GLC63
w124 engine dying
Either at idle or while stepping on accelerator, the engine shuts off. MB Service replaced voltage regulator (they said there was insufficient voltage output at alternator and that the regulator carbon brushes have excessive wear).
However, the problem still persists. At idle, rpms go down to 5000. Is this too low? What else could be making the engine shut off?
