CLK Parking Brake

I asked this question in the CLK section and received no response so I thought I would give it one more try. I have a 2000 CLK 430 and the parking brake does not pop up when I try to release it. Instead, it moves very, very slowly if at all. I have had to hold the release latch and pull the pedal up with my foot. Does anyone know how to adjust this?

Thanks.

Then it wouldn't work at all. The mechanism for activating the pbrake is probably rusted if it's anything like the C class (where it's under a panel beneath the rear seat cushion).

didnt read the thread through.....the adjustment should be under the rear seat or the under the car in the middle. or your parking brake is shot...might want to pull off the rear rotors and look at your parking brake or they need adjustment

Thanks. I'll take a look at these things this weekend. Hopefully, the problem will visible and will be an easy fix. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
