when i shift, the plastic makes it jamm
OK, if I'm in park, and i go to shift to drive, from neutral to drive, my shifter gets stuck and needs to have pressure to get it to drive. Not bend a metal pipe pressure, more like turn a door handle pressure. i think it may have something to do with the plastic thats around the shifters base pole.
in this picture, were the shifter disappears into a similar base as mine, that little plastic thing that goes back and forth with the shifter, thats what I'm referring to.

the question i want to ask, would something like this be covered under a aftermarket warranty or would this be a part of trim thats not covered? or could it be due to something else.
i think that plastic is the problem, because when i use auto stick, up shifting gets a jam in the first shift from the little plastic around the pole popping up. it then goes back down so i can continue shifting.
any one have this same problem? wish it was a leather boot
