tiptronic has mind of it's own
The tiptronic feature in my C32 only works when it feels like it. Somedays it will work for an hour others the whole day and somedays not at all. An MB tech showed me on their computer that it says it's stuck in upshift so when ever I try to downshift it wont work. Any ideas on how to solve the problem because they have never seen it before.

2005 C Wagon (No snickering please!)
You don't have tiptronic. That is a registered trademark of Porsche AG.
You might have a bad shift switch holding the transmission in upshift, or you might have a leaking switch on the transmission that has allowed the transmission fluid run up the cable and fill the transmission control module. That causes all kinds of strange faults. For 100 years the Germans have not figured out a way to put a decent oil seal on a switch.
