WIC Effect
I thought that I was having a transmission problem with my 97 E320, but when I took it to a shop that specialized in MBs, they advised me it might not
be my trannie, but the master computer. They replaced the computer, and
sure enough, it responded positively. Two days later, it wound out again and would not respond. I took it back to them, and they replaced a "plate". Two days later, it wound out again. I took it back again, and this time they
told me, I had a chronic "WIC effect". It seems that fluid travels up the lines
to the plug into the computer and shorts out the computer. They claim they
cleaned out the compartment where the plug fits and sprayed the compartment, and it should be fine, but it could happen again. Please help; I'm afraid to drive my car after being stranded thrice.
