My advice would be to search the W211 section, there was a DIY guide with photos and everything (was it at the other forum?). Not sure if it was the same engine but all you would need to do then is to figure out where the same looking parts are.

03 E500 and Corvette
The E500 is a POC. Jack up pull plug. Use correct size wrench to remove oil filter cap. Replace o-ring set and filter. Install drain plug. Then you can pour the oil directly into the filter to drain in the pan. Use film of oil on the o-rings then install filter. Done. Easy job no longer than my corvette less than my diesel truck. Then follow owners manual to reset FSS.

209/W210 Estate /W211 modded by MBENZNL
Purchase a Top sider or another product that Pulls the oil out of the dipstick tube..Its a LOT faster than jacking the car up..Set jack stands..remove splash panels..then drain the oil via the drain plug

BMW E30. I've turned to the dark side.
using a oil sucker on a E/CLS 55 will not evacuate all the oil out. there are 2 sumps (sort of) that will need to be drained at the pans, or suck the rear out and just drain the front sump. good luck trying to get a wrench on the front sump drain as the sway bar doesn't allow for a whole lot of swing. also you are supposed to replace the drain plugs on these engines as well... or you could just let your dealer take care of it.
