2006 ML 350 Navigation Question

Greetings all,

I am a new member of this forum and have recently located to Germany. I have an 06 ML 350 that has the U.S. DVD navigation installed and fully functional. I have heard rumors that I cannot simply buy the European DVD, but I will have to purchase the entire European command system. Does anyone out there know if this is true or not?

Have read many places that is true.

There is no satellite radio in Europe, either.

And, FM stations are tuned differently in Europe as well.

You should contact these people and ask.

On further research, it probably won't work. The Alpine MCS-II unit is used in US MLs, and is not a true COMAND.
