2001 E320 *82 command will not dial

I'm trying to dial *82 numbers, from both the command system and dial pad. I get the Verizon message cannot complete call. I can dial when the telephone is in the cradle. I have a E815 Motorola, using Verizon. Can anyone help me with this?

Every time I drive this car, it's a mini vacation.

Thank you,
Tom

BMW E30. I've turned to the dark side.
if the handset does not work either than you may have an analog phone which you now may give to your 2 year old kid to play with. its all digital now.
who wants to take their phone on vacation anyway?

I can dial from the handset in the cradle. It's only if I dial from the key pad, or try inputting it into the Voice Command. My phone is a Motorola E815, which I don't believe is analog.

2001 is sort of the b*tch year. If you have an early PSE it will not support anything other than some dinosaur startac or flip phone crap. if you have the later PSE, it will support timeport (still old) or v60/v600 (and yes still obsolete). assuming your phone is capable, my advice is to get the bluetooth dongle and v60 cradle to hook it up. if you have the early PSE, that will need repl as well. there is a website that has the supported phones around here somewhere to see if your phone is supported via bluetooth.

Thanks Master Tech. I acutally have the Mikbox installed, which the previous user put in. There isn't really anyone to contact, but I don't believe it's the problem, as everything is working well. Here in NY you dial *82 to disengage the caller id. I'm hoping there is another code to input, and kind of save the head ache.

The Mikbox has special codes that it intercepts and uses, and I bet the star code is throwing it for a loop. I don't have a solution for you, but I do suspect the Mikbox. Last I looked that site was down.
