Left Front Noise

When I turn my steering wheel I get a squeek noise that sounds like rubber to rubber from the left front. It only happen when standing still or a slow crawl. I've check the car out doing the same while lifting the left front off the ground and get no noise. Can it be a tie rod end or a bad shock. I don't get the typical bounce that would indicate bad absorbers. I've lubed the stabalizer link rubber but that makes no difference. 99MB C280 Sport

BMW E30. I've turned to the dark side.
1)steering shock, 2) boot where steering column goes through firewall. more likely the former.
