code C1540 component check...HELP!!!!

Hey, brand new to the forums...tried to do everything myself and im stuck...so here goes...I have a 2001 s430, and my abs light wont go off, i had a buddy check the code for me and it was a c1540 component check code, for yaw rate sensor. I have replaced the lateral acceleration sensor, and the yaw rate sensor, the code still comes back, abs light still on, tried running the driving test to program the sensors, it does nothing, my steering angle sensor is fine, no other codes in my entire car. i have done all the programming possible for the ESP system, and nothing has worked, im afraid its gonna be the ESP/BAS module, which is freakin 1300 dollars from the dealer....the brake switch checks ok as well, im at a dead end here...i would appreciate ANY input available...thanks!

update

here is some more information about the car, and what i have done, part numbers and such

The vin of the Vehicle is : wdbng70j91a193373

The code from the Scantool is as follows: C1540- operational check for component N64, B24/15, B24/9 ( ESP YAW RATE SENSOR) Active

the part I replaced is under the rear seat, to the left of the tunnel, the part number of the old part is: 0 265 00 5 230

The new part number is: 002 542 66 18

I have done the driving test, the bas assist test, and the tests seem to go through fine, since I dont have any other codes telling us the tests did not work or pass.

I went into the values screen, and all 3 of the items do work, as in the lateral accel sensor does change values when the car is rocked, the brake pressure values change when you press the brake pedal, we do have battery voltage on pin 3 with the ignition on.

I have the latest mercedes software

thanks, hope this helps!

Make sure that the alignment is correct! Steering wheel has to be centered and steering angle sensor needs to read center position. On some vehicles there is a off center re-set through the SDS computer. If the vehicle doesn't see center position while driving the system will not initialize. Hope this helps.
