W208 CLK200 (00MY)
Question W208 CLK Door Hinge/Stop
Hello

Relatively new to this forum, so please bear with me if this has been covered before.

I have a '99 model W208 CLK 200, and the driver's door bracket is broken (The one which stops the door opening further than it's supposed to). The metal has literally broken off, with bits floating around inside the door panel.

Is this a common problem on these cars, and is it a DIY fix, or one for the garage?

Any advice gratefully received.

09 E350 ,
easy fix ,it is called a "Check Strap"they break alot ,take off door panel to get broken parts out ,then a few 10 mm nuts ,basic job if thats it ,hope this helps,,,,,,
