Anybody solve this?

I have the sear controller problem on both my seats on my 2003 Clk 320 Conv

i am a retired electronic tech and would like to contribute the following
if you remove the controller and connect 12v too the controller does it’s still draw a lot of current...1 to 2 amps. If so some components will get hot and chances are that will be the faulty one.

Anybody done that?

my repair shop quoted me 1200$ plus installation to replace the driver seat control module .... I opted to just unplug it !
