engine rattling noise = MTM? or not...
well, i've had this terrible rattling noise 1st thing in the morning when the car is cold and i go straight into a gear (R normally but even D) my solution was to just warm up the car for 30sec to a minute and it didn't happen.
i first noticed it several months ago. anyway, i finally take the car in for something else and ask the service tech to check it out. based on the info in this thread
http://www.csportcoupe.com/forums/sh...=&threadid=410 it totally sounded like it was the magnetic timing mechanism... but the service guy couldn't reproduce the sound. sure enough, i've tried it a few times and it no longer happens...
but i'm still curious on what it was (and if it will ever come back...). any thoughts?
