My C280 is acting strange

Help My C280 is acting strange I am stumped
Every time I try accelerate the engine wont respond if i push down slowly it will gradually come up to speed. The engine runs fine no missing idles great just has a very touchy gas pedal. Can anyone help its a 1995 automatic? thanks kerry
The service engine light is not even on . would an engine diagnostic show anything?

does it rev /respond normally in neutral?
whats up frankensteiner,hopfully you passed your powerplant test yesterday.you gotta bring this car by the house and we will take a look at it.I do the cobras/hueys at work.bring the car in on sunday NX.
