To satisfy the silly previous poster, rephrase question "Is there a difference between V8 exhaust manifolds versus AMG exhaust manifolds?
MOST people consider header and exhuast manifold as interchangeable things.
Kind of depends, of course, whether you're talking M113, M273, or the 6.3 AMG engine (whose number I don't know).

Wasn't trying to poke at him for calling manifolds headers or vise versa. I just simply misunderstood the question, or maybe I read into it too far. I appologize.
I actually meant to edit, but ran out of time, and ask if he was trying to mate a 5.0 liter V8 manifold or header to a 5.5 liter AMG V8. If that was his reason for posting than the answer would be yes. They are interchangeable from the 5.0 liter to the 5.5 liter AMG, weather it be a header or a manifold.
Although, I am not shure that they are interchangeable from one chassis to the other only becasue of the fact that a clk55 and a c55 stock manifold have different part #'s.

Thank you...that was what I meant. Do you get better performance out of the 5.0V8 header/manifold versus the 5.5V8 header/manifold?

I assume that you have a clk500 and want to swap to clk55 stock manifolds.
Unfortunately there would be no performance gains here as I am pretty shure that they are the exact same part.
However if you wanted to swap in some aftermarket "headers" there would be some minor hp gains, but aftermarket headers for mercedes are not cheap. In my opinion headers alone for the price and minor hp gained would not be worth it.
