Disabling Headlamp washers on '03 E500 Sport

I bought a used front bumper cover which does not have the cutouts for the washers.

I'd like to disable the washers so they don't activate by accident. Can this be done? Is it as simple as pulling a fuse perhaps?

Thanks

1) Do you have a separate button for headlamp washer activation? If yes just pull the hot wire on the switch or don't operate the switch (tape with wording - DO NOT USE)
2) Plug the line going to the headlamp washer (bone sliver from a tbone might work here).

LOL!!

Yes, i have a button for the washers. So if I take out the button, I just pull the hot? Will I get an error messages?

I could also just not operate the switch, but want to be on the safer side by pulling the hot - you never know if the system gets glitchy and the washers pop out!!

just pull the plug on the headlamp washer pump at the washer bottle. The headlamp washer jets pop up via water pressure, notelectronics. If the washer pump doesn't work then the jets won't pop up.

The pump is seperate to the windscreen washer pump. The headlamp one is the bigger of the 2 (or 3 if you have a wagon)

Pulling the plug at the bottle

Is this what you guys are referring to?
If so, I see 2 plugs. Which do I pull? A, B, or both?
I also see the same bottle on the other side of the car. I assume each bottle is for each headlight?

The pump and reservoir are in the fender well behind the right front tire.

You will need to remove the rear portion of the right front fender liner to access the pump.

It would seem to be less work to disable it from the button then, right? I tried to remove the button, but didn't want to snap any connections. Any tricks on how to easily remove the button?

I thought if you spray washerfluid from your winshield jets 10 times in a row, your headlamp washers will automatically spray on the tenth time. Is that right? You may need to disable the unit rather than the button.

If that's the case, then I should disable it like OLDSCHOOLRICE detailed?

I believe that's a feature on the new models that no longer have the separate button for the washers.

Not able to look at a wiring diagram for your headlight washers at this time, but I wouldn't be suprised if there isn't an individual "hot" wire just for your headlight washers. You're probably better off just unplugging the pump as recommended previously. It is very easy to do.

Do you mind snapping a quick pic of which fender liner I need to remove?

Thanks

I think there is a separate fuse for the headlamp washers. Check the fuse chart for your car if you have one, if not I will check tomorrow when I have access to star wiring.

epmills - Would you please check for me when you get a chance? I don't have a fuse chart. Thanks for your offer!
