Another O2 Sensor Question

Code PO130: Sensor 1, Bank 1
1999 CLK320 Cabrio

For the 02 Sensor, is this the Right Front or Left Front? There are four part numbers and all I've heard is characterized as passenger or driver side. I'm trying to be sure and think its RIGHT, FRONT side I need. Am I right?

Thanks,

Curly

Curly,

Bank 1 is the cylinder bank that has the #1 cylinder in it -- this should be the passenger side (US models). Sensor 1 is the upstream sensor (before the cat).

Are you sure that the O2 sensor is bad? Engine management systems have a "shoot the messenger" mentality. You didn't mention if you saw the sensor's waveform via a graphing scanner or o-scope.

paul...
