Ignition Problems on 2.3-16V any advice?
I have a 1987 190E 2.3-16V, the car is kept in prestine order and always had the correct service done each time due, the battery is brand new in it but latly it has been having problems starting up. It does not turn over right away and somtimes takes 3 or 4 tries when cold. The starter sounds fine it is like there is no gas getting into the engine or somthing, I really dont know whats going on, any advice or comments I would really appreciate it. Thanks

My first question is when was the last time your plugs, wires, distributor and cap replaced. If recently, I would then move on and check the fuel pressure. When was the last time you replaced your fuel filter???? If all of these are good, and or very recently, you have some deeper problems that will take some diagnostics to check out. IMO of course.
