SRS Failure and then ESP failure

My 06 C350 with 18,000 miles showed SRS failure for three days. That fault indication went away and then the orange triangle lit up while out last night. Also, at that time, the cruise control wouldn't work. Today, while out, there were no faults indicated. What is happening?

Don't really know, except that the CC doesn't work if the ESP is on.

Aren't you under warranty still? See the dealer.

You mean CC does not work if ESP is off? I haven't even tried.

Could you have suffered from low battery? Other options are the brake light switch for CC and the weight sensor for the SRS system, completely unrelated issues in that case.

I haven't tried CC with ESP off either, but my w204 handbook says CC switches itself off if:

you turn off ESP.

ESP activates itself.

Makes sense really. CC would be trying to keep the car at say 60, when the ESP is trying to tame it!

Take your vehicle in the dealer, still under warranty. Factory warranty is 4 years & 50,000 miles. Sounds like you have a bad steering angle sensor, will cause SRS & ESP light come on. Cruise control won't work if ESP light is on.
