How to remove bumper moulding?

i assume most of the newer mercedes use the same type of moulding connection- i know they do on the doors anyway. if not though- mine is a w203. just curious how the bumper mouldings come off. it doesn't seem like it's a slide-n-lock sort of setup like the doors. i didn't want to pull out too hard before i found out if, in fact, that's how they are supposed to come loose.

I removed the center strip of the back bumper to install park assist. I had the entire bumper removed - and it was incredibly difficult.

They do 'just' pull out - but are held in very strong. Be sure to use towels and plastic pry tools to prevent damaging either the strip or the bumper.

Depending on MY, car, etc you will no longer be able to pull it off; its integrated into the bumper = 1 piece.

it's a 2006 C230. if it is part of the bumper- i can just take the chrome strip off which is what i need to do. i took one of the chrome strips off of the door moulding, only to find out that the correct way to do it is to take the moulding off. then take the chrome off of that since there's no way to put the chrome back on, if the moulding is still attached to the door.

nevermind- just went at it slow with a plastic/nylon pry tool. the chrome is attached just the same as on the front impact strips.
