MB Sealant 003 989 98 20 10 question
I have a slight breather cover leak on my S500 with the M113. Im going to remove the covers, clean them, and lay down new sealant on both sides.
Once I lay down the bead of sealant, and bolt the cover down, how long do I have to wait before running the engine?
Is it an overnight thing, or will an hour or so do the job?

its ok once you bolt everything back up. its either sealed or gonna leak. i have never had a problem with them leaking right after i make the repair. i start it up and let it run a while and check for leaks. just make sure that there is NO OIL on either the timing case cover or the plate or its gonna leak.
