w208 acceleration problem
any help will be GREATLY APPRECIATED as soon as possible.
When you are driving the fuel mixtures are based on both long term (what has been learnt previously) and short term trims(what the o2 sensors are seeing currently). both are approx +/- 25% of std mapping
When you hit the kickdown switch the fuel mixtures are only long term trim, whatever it has learnt is all it can do. If the AMM/MAF has failed then the amount that the ECU can increase the fuel mixtures is greatly limited when the kickdown is used.
If you don't know when your fuel filter was last changed or if has been more than 2 yrs then change it, a blocked fuel filter can cause good low end power but poor topend.
Have you tried disconnceting the AMM/MAF and seeing if it's any better?
