84 500sl Convertible
HELLO EVERYONE HAVE A 84 500SL EUROPEAN VERSION
WHEN IT STARTS THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE GOES ALL THE WAY UP FOR A 40 TO 75 SECONDS AND AFTER IT COMES AT ORMAL POSITION 80c LOOKS NORMAL BUT IT HAS BLOWN THE HEAD GASKET TWICE, IT HAS NEW RADIATOR,FAN AND CL;UCTH,WATER PUMP,HOSES AND THERMOSTAT,ANY HELP MAYBE THE BLOCK CRACKED OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT? HAS NEW GUAGE AND TEMPERATURE SENSOR......NEEED HELPPPP PLEASEEE...

You might have air in the system ? But if it only does this on start up I don't know how it would blow the head gasket ? The car's stil cold while it is happening.

is there more than one way to bled the air from the system?
somethimes while im on red light o heavy trafic the temperature gauge go up,but not all the times,have 8 years working on mercedes this is the first time with a problem like this thanks.
