Your E420 has 4 sensors, 2 front (pre-cat) and 2 rear (post-cat).
Part numbers (Bosch is the OEM supplier):
Front left = 13798
Front right = 13862
Rears = 13638 (two required)
Our you could purchase universal types, and that would be 4 of part number 15738.
Look just ahead of, and behind the cats and you'll see the sensors.
Installation is nothing more than that of changing spark plugs. Have a good quality O2 sensor socket available, and don't over-tighten upon installation. Don't use any other lube than the type that is already on the sensor threads. And, don't use any connector grease such as di-electric grease. Reference air can be supplied through the wiring and it will get contaminated.
