**** help...
they told him that because the ballast was attached onto the ESP module that it fried the ESP and thus caused the brake light to come on. but the thing is that my roomate says it only comes on sometimes, so if it indeed fried it shouldn't it be always on? and also could a ballast fry the esp module? i mean the esp light isn't even on... if its fried shouldn't it be on?
and does the tight steering and brake light on indicate that the ballast did indeed fry the esp? also he just noticed that his speedometor stopped working, u guys think it's related?
here's where the ballast WAS mounted, we moved it just now, do you guys think after it cools down it'll be ok or will the whole esp module need to be replaced?

and finally if indeed the esp is fried is the only way to replace it through the dealership? they want 1600

thanks
jon
