Spark plug boot puller.

I am wondering what style (brand) of boot puller is best for use on our cars? I tried with pliers but ended up slightly pinching the metal boot.

Any one will work. MB has a special tool that is great, or buy one from Sears.

I just changed the spark plugs on my M117 two days ago.

HZ 2771 110 589 01 01 00 HAZET Valve Adjustment Wrench. 17mm open end. For the M110 engine found in cars 280, 280C, 280E, 280CE, 280S, 280SE, 280SL, 280SLC. Mercedes now lists this tool as the offical tool to aid in the removal of the spark plug connectors on the newer M112 and M113, V-6 and V-8 engines. You pry against the connector and the valve cover with it. It makes a knuckle busting job quite easy. $58.85

Thanks, I bought a generic one at Autozone for $8 and it worked great. Also used the 17mm open-end on several plugs, like the one beside the washer tank. Overall the spark plug replacement was an easier job than I expected. Car idles perfect now.
