1998 E320 Wagon

I have several issues that just started, first the interior lights do not automatically shut off when the doors are closed. Second, the automatic door lock switch does not want to lock the doors, it will unlock but not lock. When the engine is shut off the "take the key" light and tone starts flashing immediately even if the door is not opened. The sunroof also does not want to work properly and finally when the engine is shut off and you exit the car the exterior lights no longer come on. Any ideas on what the problem is? Could it be a weak battery. This current battery is about 2-3 years old. This is on 1998 E320 wagon

Sounds like all but the sunroof problem is being casued by a faulty door or tailgate switch. Check that each switch operates correctly.
The sunroof for your age vehicle is usually the sunroof cables which get bent out of shape, you'd have to replace them and check for any other damage and make sure the roof slides are lubricated.
