C63 differential drain & fill plugs 17mm hex?
My 09 C63 with the 030 performance pack (with LSD) requires a differential fluid service at 1800 miles and I'm getting ready to do the work myself. My question is in regard to the fill and drain plugs and if they are a 17mm hex bit or something else.
I've ordered new plugs as I understand that they are to be replaced when performing the service, but they are not yet in at the parts counter.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

usually diff plugs are either 17mm or 19mm hex, if you go to your local Sears, they have a good set that included all hex 14mm-22mm (if i remember correctly) for pretty low price.
Some diffs have a washer on the plug some don't, just double check it before your final install. gl

OK, I did my diff service today and thought I'd share some info for anyone else who decides to do this themselves.
Drain and fill plugs are 19mm and require a normal socket to remove, not a hex/allen wrench type socket. When putting the plugs in, the tightening torque is 50nm. I bought the Castrol diff lube at a BMW dealer based on a post I read somewhere and it was way cheaper than at the MB dealer. The new drain plug listed for about $37, but with MBCA membership cost me $17. Total cost for parts was about $50 and change time was less than 1/2 hour.
Cheers!
