Having trouble installing HID's
 

Hey guys, just bought 09 c-class P1 and I planned to install the HID's only problem is they start flicking at start up or turn on and off. My friend who is a Tech at MB can't even figure it out so i was hoping someone has had the same problem and figured it out. When i bought the conversion kit the rep told me to buy the cancellation kits as well to somehow tell the ECU that it's running at a different wattage, but they still don't work. I realize that HID's run at a lower wattage than halogens just don't know how to program the ECU to do that. Thanks, any help would be appreciated. :confused:

Return the kit. Some of us bought the MTec kit and they are fine. The kit includes ignitors inside the ballasts. No need to re-program the ECU.

DISABLE DRL. That happened to me too until I did that.

I had the same problem I checked the voltage of the battery and it was down so I charged the battery for 30 mintues problem is gone....what is DRL?

Yeah forgot to mention get the error cancelers guy on the forum here sells them for $35 a set.

Day time Running Light, DRL, a must in Canada according to the laws. In the US, it is the option Constant/ or Manual for headlights.
