Question Accelerator Sensor 012 542 3317 vs 011 542 8717
My accelerator sensor is bad, and after some searching, here is what I discovered:

Part 012 542 33 17 is a "lower cost" replacement for Part 011 542 8717.

My car has the "lower cost" replacement - I guess it went bad before. And now it is bad again.

Q: Anyone else with this problem?
Q: Is this a DIY job?

Help is appreciated.

How did you figure out that it was a potential replacement!?
How did you know it was bad again? by codes or "feel"?
